传统的对于锂金属负极的研究主要是在扣式电池中进行的,因此金属锂受到一定的压力作用,而在软包电池中金属Li片完全不受任何约束力,因此在扣式电池中得到的数据并不能直接应用在软包电池之中。因此实验中作者制备了对称式结构的Li/Li软包电池,电极面积28cm2,Li片厚度50um,面容量密度为10mAh/cm2,以尽量模拟实际使用中的Li金属电池。

Li电极在不同电流密度下的形貌变化能够更好的反应不同电流密度下金属Li电极的失效机理,对于3mA/cm2的电流密度,在循环1次后金属Li负极表面没有显著的变化,在循环5次后能够明显的观察到明显的死Li的存在,在循环25次后Li电极表面已经覆盖了一层厚度为55um的死Li,在解剖电池的时候也能够观察到部分死Li粘在隔膜上,在经过50次循环后电极就已经完全粉化,死Li层的厚度更是达到了95um。
